Setup & Care
The Fanara Fine Arts 4-Zone Oil Paint Brush Cleaner is a studio brush-washing station for removing wet oil paint between color changes. FLEX, FIRM, SCRUB, and EDGE WIPE provide four cleaning actions in one shared bath of artist-grade odorless mineral spirits. Choose the action that suits your brush and paint load.

Set up your cleaner
1) Insert the tray
Place the square sediment tray flat on the bottom of your container.
2) Fit the deck
With the container logo facing you and the bristles at the back, press the deck down evenly until it fits snugly against the walls.
3) Add OMS
Add odorless mineral spirits until the liquid covers the tops of the cleaning-deck bristles.
Choose your cleaning action
Wipe excess paint onto a paper towel. Use controlled strokes along whichever cleaning areas your brush needs.
FLEX
For medium and softer brushes. Work the brush along the FLEX row using controlled strokes.
FIRM
For stiff brushes. Work the brush along the FIRM row using controlled strokes.
SCRUB
Work the brush against the round holes in the SCRUB area.
EDGE WIPE
Pull the brush upward along the designated wiping edges.
Wipe off excess solvent on a rag or paper towel before returning to your palette.
Care & maintenance
Every 3-6 months: Remove the cleaning deck and sediment tray. Empty the tray sediment into a suitable waste container. Rinse out the sediment tray and container. Reinstall the tray and deck.
Top off with fresh odorless mineral spirits as needed.
All four cleaning actions share one OMS bath. Pigment settles below the cleaning deck and collects in the sediment tray (settling time is dependent on pigment density and frequency of use).
